Featured Black Business -French Quarters

The French Quarters, established in February 2010, is modeled after nothing in its vicinity. This one-of-a-kind social hall – not social club – is a fully licensed facility, open to catering to multiple demographics. Its soft setting includes amenities of a bar, but that’s definitely not the focal point of French Quarters; the stage is. The facility is like a local tavern crossed with a banquet hall, but offers more than a bar or a banquet hall alone. It’s very appealing for women and couples.

For the second time in the state of Delaware, the annual Dover Urban Music Festival (DUMF) will take place in the state’s capitol on Aug 29, 2010.  The event’s coordinator Jarvis “Jaye” Savage, CEO of Noizmaka Entertainment Company as well as JAZE Barbershop located in the heart of downtown Dover, started this event with the idea of showcasing the urban talent in the first state. The festival provides an environment in which many artist, who are accustomed to performing in small clubs and venuse, usually do not have access. The first state has chosen its #1 representative for teens throughout Delaware.  Her name is Briana Moore, 15, Townsend, DE.  Miss Moore has been participating in pageants for 3yrs, and most enjoys the evening gown portion "every girl loves to feel like a princess", says Briana who loves pageants, writing spoken word poetry, and going green.
