We understand that for some students, maintaining perfect attendance may have been challenging due to various reasons including COVID-19. But, Delcastle Technical High School senior Allura Fletcher has not missed any of her 2,160 days of school ‘EVER’ … whether in person or virtually during the pandemic.
“There were a lot of days where I wanted to just stay home but Iâve always felt attendance was very important so I just always went. Or it always felt normal to go every day, I never thought much about it until around freshman year.” ~ Allura Fletcher
This fall, Allura will be attending the University of Delaware and will be majoring in Digital Media.
Her mother, Joan Fletcher says, “Elementary School was a fun and welcoming educational experience for her. She gained a love for school and learning. So she was excited to go to school every day and it just became a habit.”
Shout out to mom as well, it takes two to not miss a day of school, well done!
