Admission is free to the public.
âWe are very excited to be showcasing generations of amazing local Delaware artists including Edward Loper, Jr, K.O. Simms, Amir âAmiracleâ Campbell, Andre Reyneard, Janiah Bradley, Jabaar Brown, Eunice LaFate, Asata MaiÅe, Velvet Poindexter, Samara Weaver, and more,â said County Executive Meyer. âFor interested attendees, they can find the most up-to-date information about the event .
New Castle County Division of Community Resources and The Walnut Street YMCA have partnered on the annual Black History Month celebration for seven years. In 2020 the Black History Month Celebration moved online and outdoors for a hybrid experience because of COVID-19 safety concerns. This year, the event is once again in person but is modified and presented as an open house giving people more time and space to enjoy the event in smaller groups. All COVID-19 safety protocols will be in effect for the event including an indoor face-covering requirement.
