What if Delaware’s cities and towns were NYC boroughs? TikToker Jayin88 recently went viral for a humorous take that matches areas of the First State to the boroughs of New York City. Using a mix of local culture, community makeup, and overall vibe, he draws parallels that many residents found surprisingly accurate — and a little too real. From Wilmington’s bustling nightlife to Slower Lower’s laid-back beach towns, here’s how he sees Delaware through an NYC lens:

-
Wilmington = Manhattan – urban, full of lounges, bars, clubs, and nightlife.
-
Dover = Brooklyn – diverse, with an HBCU, a large Caribbean community, and plenty of activity.
-
Seaford = Bronx – often talked down about but still heavily populated.
-
Middletown & Newark = Queens – large, busy areas with lots of transplants.
-
Slower Lower Delaware (Magnolia, Rehoboth Beach, etc.) = Long Island – similar suburban and beach vibes.
