From DSU to National Media

LoRosa’s career journey began right on DSU’s campus, but her determination quickly propelled her into the national spotlight. After graduating, she joined TMZ, where she worked as a reporter and correspondent, covering breaking celebrity news and sharpening her skills in fast-paced entertainment journalism.

She then transitioned into one of the most influential platforms in urban media, The Breakfast Club, where she currently serves as Senior News Producer and on-air correspondent. Her role has placed her at the center of cultural conversations and given her a voice in shaping how stories are told on one of radio’s most iconic stages.

Facing the “Noise”

Earlier this year, LoRosa became a trending topic herself, after tension surfaced between her and comedian Jess Hilarious on The Breakfast Club. Jess, who returned from maternity leave to reclaim her segment, expressed frustration about sharing the spotlight with LoRosa. Loren later shared that she felt disrespected at times, leading to an on-air dialogue that played out in front of millions of listeners.

LoRosa used this experience to reinforce the same message she gave students: when controversy and noise come, it’s your foundation—your values, your work ethic, and your community—that keeps you centered.

Building Her Own Brand

Beyond her media roles, LoRosa is the creator of Brown Girl Grinding, a lifestyle and empowerment brand she started when she first moved to Los Angeles. The brand highlights ambition, hustle, and style, becoming a community for women who are pursuing their dreams while staying authentic to who they are.
