The 3rd Annual Hip Hop Summit presented by AllHipHop, Guerrilla Republik and the Delaware Art Museum was packed with energy, nostalgia, and cultural pride. The reactions were priceless, the debates were hilarious, and the love for the culture was REAL.
From finishing timeless lyrics to naming legendary figures and game-changing record labels, some had to DIG DEEP into their Hip-Hop memory bank. Some people nailed it instantly… others had to phone a friend lol!
Hip-Hop Trivia Moments Included:
• Finish the lyric: “Don’t push me ‘cause I’m close to the edge…”
• What city defined the “Dirty South” movement in the late 90s?
• What record label was founded by Suge Knight and Dr. Dre?
• Who was known as the “Overweight Lover”?
• Who was the first solo female rapper to go platinum?
• Who is known as the “Godfather of Hip-Hop”?
…Think you know the answers? 👀
You’ll have to watch the video to find out who got it right (and who definitely did NOT 😅).

Why We Did This
Hip-Hop is more than music, it’s history, storytelling, identity, and community. The ‘Culture Check’ series is our way of celebrating the legacy, knowledge, and voices that keep the culture alive.
Stay tuned, we’re taking the ‘Culture Check’ series to more events across Delaware and the region. You never know where Saniya will pop up with the next questions!
