The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Delaware Chapter (NCBW-DE) proudly announces its 30th Anniversary Celebration, marking three decades of tireless advocacy and leadership on behalf of Black women and girls in Delaware. Since its founding in 1995, NCBW-DE has championed initiatives focused on education, economic empowerment, health equity, and civic engagement, impacting lives and shaping policy across the state.
To commemorate this milestone, NCBW-DE will host its 30th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Chase Center on the Riverfront, under the theme “Pearls of Resistance: Celebrating the Radiance of Black Women Through Carnival.” The evening will gather community leaders, elected officials, founders, and supporters for a night of reflection, recognition, and recommitment to the organization’s mission.
“For 30 years, NC100BW-DE has been a beacon of strength, advocacy, and sisterhood in Delaware,” said Kimberley Chambers, President of the Delaware Chapter. “This anniversary is not only a time to celebrate our accomplishments, but to reaffirm our pledge to champion equity, opportunity, and justice for Black women and girls for generations to come.”
Festivities will begin with the organization’s signature fundraiser, The Gentlemen’s Cookoff, where guests can sample and vote on dishes prepared by local amateur and professional chefs. The gala will also honor two outstanding community leaders — Alicia Clark, CEO of Lifestyles Matter, and Lucretia Young, State Director for AARP Delaware.
The celebration will feature dynamic performances by Casa Brazilia (Brazilian fusion dancers and musicians), Plenty Pepper Band (Caribbean band), and Tru Blu Productions, promising an unforgettable evening of culture, unity, and celebration.
