Ebon Flagg opened Babe Styling Studios with a jump of faith. The moniker “Babe” came as a term of endearment and dedication to his clientele while also serving as an acronym for Beauty Above and Beyond Expectations. He is a strong believer in attributing much of his success to his loyal clientele.
Ebon Master Hair Stylist and Licensed Cosmetology Instructor. He began barbering at the age of 14 but officially got his first job in a barbershop in college while attending Rutgers University in Camden, NJ from 1991 to 1995. After college, he worked in several different industries and has always been driven by entrepreneurial opportunities. His talent in styling women’s hair was discovered while barbering in a women’s salon and a nearby stylist suggested that he should try women’s hair. He obliged and found that not only was he talented, but he enjoyed getting to know his clients and their conversations.
On October 3, 2009, Ebon ventured into opening Babe Styling Studios in the City of Wilmington, DE at a time when there were very few thriving businesses on the lower end of Market Street. He secured the perfect space for a new salon and eighteen months into the business, he outgrew his space and secured a salon twice the size to accommodate is growing clientele.
