Originally from the Bronx, New York, Saquan Stimpson is a Newark, Delaware-based freelance photographer specializing in photojournalism, and commercial work. A photojournalist by training, he has since shifted his sights to sports combining a keen interest in action and the ever-changing, unpredictable world of photographing a variety of subject matters.
Saquan has years of experience adapting to fluid situations—including unfamiliar locations, cantankerous subjects, rapidly-changing conditions, neurotic handlers and publicists (or most often, a combination thereof) — which has earned him the trust of editors. His work can be seen in the Delaware News Journal (hardcopy and online versions), the Delaware online publications, the Associated Press, ZUMApress (one of the world’s largest independent press agencies and wire services.) Saquan is also a part 107 certified drone pilot.
