As we all know the percentage of black-owned business have skyrocketed over the last year, but these 2 female bosses are taking things to the next level. Let me introduce you to the ladies of Pink Hookers Towing, located in New Castle, Delaware. The owners, Areesah Lassiter & Myesha Jones have been in business since 2020, and not only are they opening doors for women, but breaking glass ceilings along the way. The Pink Hookers Towing is a woman-owned & operated service. They thrive in a profession highly dominated by their male counterparts.

Their one-year-old enterprise has gained newfound recognition from the new TV hit series A&E Hustle & Tow. The show features eight Tow companies, with each episode focused on three stories. There were over 100+ towing companies surveyed & 8 were zeroed in on, one of those companies includes Pink Hookers Towing. These two passionate ladies found something that they loved to do and began to monetize on it.

Their story is about passion, perseverance, & commitment. When asked why to name the business “Pink Hookers Towing” Areesah replied, “We wanted a name that people would remember & that stands out.” Not only does the business have a standout name but the brand color has meaning as well. Pink, which is their staple color is a paying tribute to Myesha’s mother who passed battling brain cancer & Areesah’s mother who is a survivor of kidney cancer.

These brave women go against the grain with day-to-day challenges of impounding cars & confronting upset drivers & instead of allowing it to deter them, they allow the odds set to stop them to push them further. Myesha & Areesah are more than just role models, but pillars in their community.

The Pink Hookers Towing has a lot more in store for the business, such as expanding into apparel & opening a second location.
