On Monday, January 20th, 2025, the community will come together in front of the Route 9 Library on New Castle Avenue, New Castle, DE, for a powerful rally in honor of the legacies of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King. This event, beginning promptly at 9:00 a.m., is a rallying call for justice, equity, and economic prosperity in Black communities, with a specific focus on the fight to end racial disparities throughout Delaware.

As we gather, we will reflect on the ongoing need for economic justice, ownership in our communities, and dismantling systemic inequalities.
The event will feature powerful speeches, moments for community engagement, and opportunities to raise our collective voice. Attendees are encouraged to bring signs, banners, and most importantly, a deep desire for real change. We are not asking for labor; we are asking for a commitment to transform the status quo. Together, we can build a future that works for all of Delaware’s residents.
This rally is a tribute to the true nature of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King—one that recognizes the importance of economic prosperity in Black communities and the relentless pursuit of true justice for all.
