Meet Dell Scott, a Delaware-based designer, putting the first state on the map. As fashion week across the globe comes to an end, Dell Scott has earned a spot as a designer to watch out for. The Scott’s NYFW SS23, debut of her new collection, Carnivale, opened with Project Runway model, , but it was her closing gown that stole the night. 

This elaborate black gown that sparkled was every photographer’s dream come true. The gown was worn by model April Jordan. The gown garnered the hashtag; #showstopper on social media. 

Scott has presented at various fashion weeks on both the East and West Coast, including showcasing at many charity events; ‘Go Red for Women – Southern DE Chapter’ and ‘Miss DE Scholarship Pageant,’ to name a few.  

When asked about the meaning of this collection, Scott said, “I truly believe this collection is the beginning of my comeback,” Dell says as she had to take a step back from fashion, because of a series of losses of loved ones, the pandemic, and various other mishaps.

Scott was born with eczema and knows the challenges of possessing low self-esteem and lack of confidence, it is her desire to create designs that allow women’s inner brilliance to shine through.
