On Saturday (October 7th), G&R Campground will be hosting its Grand Re-opening with a ribbon-cutting celebration. This family fun event will be held from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. at the campground located at 4075 Gun and Rod Club Road, Houston, DE 19954. Under new ownership, G&R will be celebrating over 30 years as a family-owned and operated staple in the campground industry, and the only black-owned campground in the State of Delaware. This free community celebration will include an afternoon tour of the grounds, a catered menu of cookout favorites, outdoor lawn games and a DJ, a photo booth, a s’mores bar, and much more!
Nestled in the heart of lower Kent County, G&R is situated on over 32 acres with 200+ RV and tent sites, cabins, and glamping options. It’s the perfect spot to unplug from the hustle and bustle and reconnect to nature and the great outdoors. Amenities include an outdoor pool, lawn game garden, board game room, hammock park, and more. The new owners, Leonard and Yolanda Young, are excited to share G&R’s rustic charm with the community and give everyone an insight into what’s to come.
