(MWUL) celebrates 24 years of advocacy and mission in Delaware by honoring partner sponsors who have empowered and emboldened countless youth and marginalized Delawareans of color to achieve equity, parity, and economic self-sufficiency.

Marc H. Morial, President of the National Urban League will join as keynote speaker to discuss how this affiliate has been an impactful and relevant advocacy and human services affiliate for a quarter century. A renowned catalyst for change and highly respected civil rights leader, Morial has devoted 20+ years to forward-moving the 100+-year-old legacy of the National Urban League.

Gathering centrally at Wilmington’s own Riverfront Events at the Hyatt in Downtown Wilmington for this event, we celebrate the MWUL’s past, present the most compelling impact stories of our current initiatives, and share our vision for the growth and future of this small, but mighty Wilmington Affiliate.

Jennifer Thompkins, President and CEO of the MWUL goes on to say: “In February of 2022, I was honored to be called to lead this organization and look forward to growing our programs in youth education, housing, and leadership development. I am profoundly grateful to all the foundations, municipal, county, and state leaders, and corporate sponsors who believe in our mission, understand that Delaware is for ALL Delawareans, and so substantively support or programs for all that these do to alleviate the burdens and elevate our low-income, often-marginalized clients of color.
