Re-Introducing the Buccini/Pollin Group MKT Place Art Gallery

MKT Place Gallery will host The Creative Encore a re-introduction art exhibition of the gallery Saturday, April 9th, 2022 at MKT Place Gallery 200 West 9th Street, Wilmington, De.  The Art exhibition will be curated by the Gallery’s new Creative Director/Curator Sara A. Crawford.

The Creative Encore is a celebration of the Arts! This event will feature artist, The Original Collective, created in January 2021 to highlight, engage, and promote black creatives and minority-owned businesses through artistic editorial shoots and art showings. This event will allow the opportunity for artists, The Original Coloure Collective to share their artistry. Entertainment, Stunning Décor, Live Painting, and amazing art during The Creative Encore hopes to be a catalyst to show how important the arts are to our communities

BPG recognized the need for a community art gallery downtown and concluded that the heavily trafficked corner of 9th and Orange Streets would be an ideal location. MKT Place gallery is a boutique-style gallery that opened in October 2017 that provides local artists with a public gallery to display and sell their work.  The Gallery will continue to feature monthly exhibitions curated by Sara A. Crawford, recently named one of Delaware’s Most Influential People of 2022. The Gallery is fully booked with exciting artists and artistic experiences for the entire year of 2022 and now booking for 2023.

“I am beyond excited to be managing the MKT Place Gallery and I am dedicated to bringing more art and creative experiences to the city-The Creative Encore is just the beginning. Our city is full of so many creatives and I want to share their talents with the community”, says Sara A. Crawford.

The Creative Encore will bring a new perspective to the way individuals view art.  Art is everything from music, style of dress, and pictures hanging on a wall, to the tone in which we speak to someone. We couldn’t exist in this world without art. The Arts matter, the Arts lift spirits, they help to break barriers of social injustices, bring forth unity, and create a space of personal and artistic open mindfulness.

The event is sponsored by BPG Cares, Integrity Staffing Solutions, MKT Place Gallery, The Original Coloure Collective, The Pop Factor, and Anara Original.
