A tragic burst of gunfire in Wilmington has left two young men dead and two others fighting for their lives, according to authorities.

Police say the shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday on North Adams Street near West 7th Street. Responding officers found multiple victims at the scene as emergency crews rushed to provide aid.
Two men, ages 19 and 21, were transported to the hospital but later died from their injuries. A third man and a woman remain in critical condition.
Authorities have not yet released a motive or identified any suspects. Investigators are still working to determine what led up to the violence.
Neighbors described the scene as chaotic and alarming. One resident said a bullet struck her front door, underscoring how close the violence came to innocent bystanders.
