Levi recently competed in the 2025 National Boxing Championships, the largest and most competitive national boxing tournament of the year. Moving up to the 70-pound division, he faced the best young fighters in the country, battling elite competition day after day.
On December 12, 2025, Levi advanced to the national finals and captured the gold medal in dramatic fashion. His championship win earned him the No. 1 national ranking in the 70-pound division, officially making him the top boxer in his class in the United States.
Representing Delaware on the national stage, Levi’s victory is more than a personal achievement, it’s a powerful moment for the state and for Black youth sports nationwide. With the 2032 Olympics on the horizon, his journey is just getting started.
Delaware is raising champions. The world is watching.
Why This Matters – Black Youth Sports
Levi Brown’s rise highlights the importance of visibility, access, and investment in Black youth athletics. Too often, young Black athletes, especially those outside of major sports pipelines, don’t receive the recognition, resources, or long-term support they deserve. Levi’s success proves what can happen when talent is matched with opportunity, discipline, and community support.
Stories like this also reshape narratives. They show Black children excellence before adulthood, leadership before fame, and purpose before pressure. Levi’s achievement sends a message to young athletes across Delaware and beyond: your age does not limit your impact, and your dreams are valid right now. This is how futures are built, one round, one win, and one belief at a time.
