A proud 2009 graduate of Caesar Rodney High School in Camden, DE, Harmon leveraged his local roots into a standout collegiate career at Rutgers University before entering the NFL in 2013.
Drafted in the third round by the New England Patriots, Harmon earned the nickname “The Closer” for his uncanny ability to intercept late-game passes, many of which were pivotal in sealing victories. During his seven seasons in New England, he captured three Super Bowl titles (XLIX, LI, LIII), cementing his legacy as a key component of the Patriots’ dynasty.
Following his tenure with the Patriots, Harmon continued his career with multiple teams, including the Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons, Las Vegas Raiders, Chicago Bears, and Cleveland Browns, before retiring after not playing during the 2024 season.
In his retirement announcement, Harmon reflected on the journey: “Every good thing must come to an end,” he shared. “What a beautiful journey it has been, and I thank God for choosing me for this unbelievable experience.” He credited the Patriots organization, coach Bill Belichick, owner Robert Kraft, teammates, and family for their support.
Looking forward, Harmon intends to remain active in his community, expanding his nonprofit 7-on-7 travel football team, running a trucking business, and continuing philanthropic work, including his annual football camp at his alma mater, Caesar Rodney High School. He resides in Atlanta with his wife, Christine, and their five sons.
