Modeled after the successful Early College High School on DSU’s Dover campus, the initiative expands access to higher education, particularly for students of color and first-generation scholars.
To celebrate the historic opening, DSU President Tony Allen joined New York City Mayor Eric Adams and NYC Public Schools Chancellor Melissa Aviles-Ramos. Together, they marked the launch of the first HBCU-affiliated early college program within the NYC Public School system.
“This partnership is a bold investment in the futures of young people, providing them with the resources, guidance, and college-level coursework to thrive well beyond high school,” said President Allen.
Through this collaboration, DSU continues to lead in higher education innovation, strengthening its national impact while ensuring more students gain access to the transformative experience of an HBCU education.
