Why This Matters
Being named the lead feature in Delaware Today’s prestigious Women in Business section is more than an individual honor—it signals statewide recognition of leadership that shapes institutions, communities, and future generations. Dr. Dawn Mosley’s selection among 27 accomplished women highlights the growing influence of Black women executives in Delaware’s business, nonprofit, and academic ecosystems.

This photo that appear in the Delaware Today feature was shot by Dr. Mosley son, Jaymen Morris, a junior Mass Comm major at Delaware State University.
In addition to noting her leadership work at Delaware State University, the feature also recognizes her efforts to empower and create pathways for women to thrive in corporate and nonprofit America.
The feature also recognized Dr. Mosley’s founding of Production for Purpose Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to empowering women through initiatives that inspire unity, support, and growth.
Dr. Mosley is now in her 10th year at DSU, an institution where she also completed a doctorate in Education Leadership in 2020 (but due to COVID, she had to wait until 2021 to be recognized for her Ed.D.).
