Dr. LaRetha Odumosu has been named the first-ever head of Wilmington’s newly established Office of Educational Advocacy, a historic move aimed at transforming education outcomes for city students. The office was created to ensure that families and students have a dedicated resource to navigate school systems, address education-related concerns, and push for systemic change. It will serve as a liaison between the community and education stakeholders, advocate for equitable policies, and support students’ academic success through accountability, transparency, and access.
