The Health, Hope & Hip-Hop Foundation is proud to announce its first-ever Hip Hope Ball, an inspiring evening designed to ignite change and foster community action in the fight against healthcare disparities in the Black community. The transformative star-studded event will occur on Friday, February 28, 2025, at The Queen in Wilmington, Delaware. By bringing together Hip-Hop celebrities, local leaders, healthcare advocates, and community members, the Hip Hope Ball will create a powerful platform where culture meets purpose, addressing critical healthcare challenges and bridging gaps in access for underserved populations.

“This event isn’t just a party—it’s an opportunity for industry and grassroots to come together and build bridges through fellowship.,” says Oya Gilbert, Founder and CEO of the Health, Hope & Hip-Hop Foundation. “Under-represented people face serious challenges when it comes to healthcare access and quality of life. The Hip Hope Ball is about uniting the community, and working together to raise low health literacy and create real momentum for change.”
Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the foundation’s first Health, Hope & Hip Hop Block Party in Wilmington, Delaware, slated for late spring, which will unleash the power of hip-hop music and culture to engage the community, raise limited health literacy, and empower people to access and receive the healthcare they need. Together with community health initiatives, educational workshops, and partnerships with local healthcare providers, the foundation aims to ensure access to quality care for families in Wilmington and beyond, improving health outcomes and lives.
