Delaware State University (DSU) celebrated a night of tradition, history, and Hornet pride as Master Keith and Joyce Kasiama were officially crowned as the 2025-2026 Mr. & Miss DSU during the annual Coronation Ceremony on October 5 in the Education and Humanities Theatre.

The evening’s theme paid homage to the classic Eddie Murphy movie “Coming to America.” In a theatrical twist, Mr. Keith symbolically rejected his royal father’s bride selection and chose his own queen—Miss Kasiama—capturing the audience’s cheers and making the moment unforgettable.

This year’s coronation was historic: Joyce Kasiama became the first Miss DSU to have previously held an adult queen title, having served as Miss Congo USA, representing her family’s proud Congolese heritage.
