Meet Dr. Keonna Watson (@drkeonnawatson) – Delaware’s Only Local Coordinator for International Cultural Exchange Services!
Dr. Keonna Watson is proud to serve as the state of Delaware’s only Local Coordinator for International Cultural Exchange Services (ICES), and she’s excited to connect with families of all structures interested in a life-changing opportunity.
As a respected Family Scientist and advocate for strong family systems, Dr. Watson is deeply passionate about the power of cultural exchange to strengthen family bonds and broaden perspectives. She believes hosting an exchange student isn’t just educational — it’s transformational. Families often find that welcoming a student into their home brings renewed connection, shared purpose, and a deeper appreciation for global diversity.
As we prepare for the 2025–2026 school year, Dr. Watson is seeking warm, welcoming host families to open their homes to high school exchange students from around the world. Hosting options are flexible — choose to host for 8 weeks, 5 months, or a full 10-month academic year.
Hosting an exchange student is a rewarding experience that brings the world to your doorstep. Not only will you provide a safe and supportive home for a student, but you’ll also gain insight into a new culture, create lifelong bonds, and help foster global understanding — all while receiving host family benefits such as tax credits, referral bonuses, and more.
Students come from over 20 countries, including Brazil, Spain, Italy, Thailand, Germany, China, South Korea, Poland, Denmark, Kazakhstan, France, Japan, and many others — each bringing their unique perspectives and passions.
