Mrs. Keziah Finney, classroom teacher of 18 years and current 7th-grade science teacher at HB DuPont Middle School, has taken her teaching profession to new heights.
Additional Information Keziah and her husband James Finney, have created a math intervention program that uses original hip-hop music, created by Mrs. Finney, to enhance basic math skill performance. James Finney, owner of JFINTV® stated that “Music is a powerful recall tool and the right music has the power to give any student the confidence needed to master their basic math.â€
Since the summer of 2020, Mrs. Finney has been conducting 30-minute math lessons free to the public in local New Castle County parks. This initiative has been the Finney’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
