The Connect DE, a Delaware-based nonprofit focused on young professional talent retention, welcomed its new headquarters Wednesday to expand offerings throughout the First State. The organization has established its presence in The Mill, a premier coworking space in downtown Wilmington.
During Wednesday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony, The Connect DE unveiled several strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening Delaware’s position as a destination for emerging young professional talent. The organization’s expansion comes amongst increasing competition throughout mid-Atlantic states.
“Delaware’s economic future hinges on our ability to attract and retain top young professional talent,” stated C.J. Bell, Founder of The Connect DE. “Our new headquarters represents a significant milestone in our mission to position Delaware as a premier destination for young professionals.”
The organization announced several key developments:
- Appointment of a new Director of Development
- Launch of “Connect Coaches,” a specialized career development program
- Introduction of enhanced professional development workshops
- Expansion of networking and educational programming
In a notable development, the organization announced its inaugural Young Professional’s Gala, scheduled for February 22, 2025, at the Delaware Art Museum. The black-tie event aims to showcase the achievements of Delaware’s emerging young professionals and business leaders.
The new headquarters, located at 221 West 10th Street, Suite 311, in Wilmington, will serve as the organization’s command center for implementing these initiatives throughout 2025.
