Delaware continues to make its mark on the national sports stage, this time through the NBA. The Minnesota Timberwolves have not one, but two proud Delaware natives on their roster: Nah’Shon “Bones” Hyland and Donte DiVincenzo.

From Wilmington to the League: Bones Hyland
Nah’Shon “Bones” Hyland, a native of Wilmington, Delaware, first gained national attention during his high school days at St. Georges Technical High School. Known for his lightning-quick handles, deep shooting range, and infectious energy, Bones became one of the most electric guards in the country.
After starring at VCU, he declared for the NBA Draft in 2021 and was selected by the Denver Nuggets. Since then, Hyland has built a reputation as a fearless scorer with highlight-reel potential, and now, he brings that spark to the Minnesota Timberwolves lineup.
Donte DiVincenzo: Delaware’s Own “Big Ragu”
Joining him is fellow Delaware star Donte DiVincenzo, a graduate of Salesianum School in Wilmington. Known by fans as “The Big Ragu,” Donte’s rise began at Sallies, where he led his team to back-to-back state championships and earned Delaware Player of the Year honors.
He went on to play for Villanova University, where he became a key part of the Wildcats’ 2018 NCAA Championship run — even earning the Final Four Most Outstanding Player award after a record-breaking performance in the national title game.

With Hyland and DiVincenzo now both wearing Timberwolves jerseys, Delaware basketball fans have even more reason to tune in this season. Their shared roots in the First State — combined with their explosive styles of play — make them a dynamic duo to watch.
