Wilmington native and real estate developer Donald Thompson III company, Truth in Actions, INC, is transforming personal tragedy into lasting impact with the groundbreaking of a new 14-unit townhome development in the city’s Northside community. The project, named RAW Story Dr., is a heartfelt tribute to Thompson’s late nephew, who tragically lost his life to a drunk driver.
Scheduled to break ground on June 11, 2025, at noon at 416 W. 29th Street, this development represents more than bricks and mortar, it’s a mission to bring dignity, healing, and opportunity to Wilmington’s underserved communities.
“This isn’t just about real estate,” says Thompson. “It’s about rewriting the narrative, taking pain, and building purpose. RAW Story Dr. is a reflection of the raw, real experiences so many families face, and the resilience that comes from choosing hope.”
The homes will offer affordable luxury tailored to residents in Wilmington’s inner-core neighborhoods, addressing a critical gap in the housing market for quality, attainable homeownership options.
This marks Thompson’s second development project in Wilmington, DE, and underscores his growing commitment to revitalizing the city’s neglected areas through economic investment, community engagement, and intentional design.
In the spirit of community, the groundbreaking ceremony will double as a neighborhood celebration. Local entrepreneur Antinette Watson, owner of The Stand Food Truck, will serve food on-site and support Black-owned business visibility, further emphasizing Thompson’s vision of collective upliftment.
