The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place at the Chamber’s new 10,000-square-foot facility at 321 E. 11th Street, where guests enjoyed guided tours and an inside look at the innovative space designed to empower small business owners.

With support from the WGU School of Business, the incubator will provide a free business development program aimed at helping minority-owned businesses sustain and scale their operations. The space will also serve as a hub for collaboration, education, and opportunity, creating a stronger network for entrepreneurs across Delaware.

Congresswoman Sarah McBride emphasized the importance of the new facility, stating, “Today is about unleashing the full potential of Delaware’s entrepreneurs. Supporting Black innovators is critical for our state to compete, to reflect our diversity, and to turn dreams into reality.”

The program also featured remarks from DEBCC leadership, representatives from the Wilmington Housing Authority, the Delaware Affordable Housing Group, and the Delaware Division of Small Business. Leaders emphasized the importance of expanding resources for minority-owned enterprises and the lasting impact this facility will have on Delaware’s business landscape.

Entrepreneurs and community leaders in attendance expressed excitement about the opportunities the new incubator will provide. Many noted that the training, mentorship, and access to resources would help break down barriers to business growth for underrepresented communities.

The event concluded with photos, media interviews, and networking among attendees, setting the tone for what many called a new chapter of progress for Delaware’s business community.
