The National Board of Directors of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) has appointed Scot Esdaile, President of the Connecticut NAACP State Conference and member of the NAACP National Board of Directors, as Administrator of the Wilmington, Delaware branch. Mr. Esdaile will lead a comprehensive reorganization effort to strengthen the branch’s operations, financial stability, and community impact.
This appointment marks a return to Delaware for Esdaile, who previously served as Administrator of the Delaware NAACP State Conference alongside longtime civil rights leader Richard “Mouse” Smith. During that tenure, he helped revitalize the State Conference’s governance, membership, and advocacy programs. Now, he brings decades of institutional knowledge and national leadership to the Wilmington branch during this critical period of transition.
