The New York–based morning show, hosted by DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God, and Jess Hilarious, replaces Power 99’s long-running local Rise & Grind Morning Show. The change follows a wave of restructuring at iHeartMedia, which owns Power 99, and marks a new era for the station’s weekday mornings.

A Delaware Voice Goes National

Adding a local connection to this national powerhouse, The Breakfast Club now features Loren LoRosa, a proud Delaware native and Delaware State University alum, as one of its on-air personalities and producers.

Raised in Wilmington, LoRosa first made waves as an entertainment reporter, media entrepreneur, and host of the popular podcast The Latest with Loren, where she blends entertainment news, cultural commentary, and motivational insight. Her unique voice and authenticity quickly set her apart in the world of media and pop culture.

Her journey from the First State to one of America’s most influential morning shows has inspired many young Delawareans pursuing careers in media, entertainment, and communications.

LoRosa recently returned to her alma mater, Delaware State University, as a keynote speaker, encouraging students to stay grounded and focused despite life’s distractions. Now, with The Breakfast Club airing on Power 99, fans across Delaware can hear one of their own on national radio every weekday morning, a full-circle moment for the DSU graduate.

What Listeners Can Expect

Since launching in 2010, The Breakfast Club has become a pop-culture staple known for its high-profile guests, raw debates, and unfiltered takes on music, politics, and social issues. The show’s reach extends to more than 90 markets nationwide and attracts millions of listeners each month.

For the Delaware Valley, this change means local audiences will wake up to a show that blends celebrity interviews, real conversations, and now, a familiar Delaware voice helping lead the dialogue.

With her continued success, from The Latest with Loren to The Breakfast Club, Loren LoRosa is proving that Delaware talent shines on any stage, from Wilmington to the world.
